Christmas Time

We have almost completed putting our Christmas decorations up. The in-laws donated a tree for our use (we only had a 5 ft charlie brown tree) and we just got what we needed to spruce it up. We decided on a maroon and silver theme with a splash of gold. Only after we started decorating did we realize that those were also our wedding colors. We must like that combination. I am happy to announce that we did a fairly decent job with no previous experience decorating a tree like this. I have been used to the normal old decorations that I made as a kid with the hodge-podge assortment of cardboard, ceramics, and tin foil. I still couldn't live without using those so we used our midget tree to put those on and stuck it in the dining room.

As far as the other decorations go the outside we have put LED lights around our roof line and porch that are alternating...yeah you guessed it red and silver. We put lights around all the doorways downstairs. We don't have many shelves for decorations, but every one of them is filled to the brim including our piano with our gigantic nativity scene. My favorite addition is my own handmade snow globe (if you want to call it that). I just used a big glass bowl from Becci's wedding and put one of those village housed on some fake snow. Looks pretty cool if you ask me. OK, time to go to bed now. Merry Christmas!!
