Are we ready yet?

Kristin is now at 37 weeks with Brooklyn and it is looking like we are going to have her induced sometime next week. I am starting a new job at Medical Mutual of Ohio on the 31st and we want to have Brooklyn born before I start so I don't have to worry about missing the birth. After we see the doctor in the 38th week then we can schedule when we are going in. We are hoping for sometime early in the week so I can spend some time with our new baby. The last time we were in the doctors they did another ultrasound and they gave us some 3D printouts of what she looks like.


They also measured her at 6 lbs 8 oz, but those measurements are usually a bit off. For some reason the pending birth date kind of snuck up on us and we still haven't got anything ready. I think we are still in some sort of denial...almost doesn't seem real. It's crazy to think that we are going to be parents soon. I can just picture us walking in the door after the hospital and just looking at her and then wondering "now what!" There's a manual out there, right?!



We have mostly finished the babies room. After our baby shower we had all the bedding that we needed and the decorations. We finally got some blinds for the window so we can have some privacy. We are still struggling to put away all the baby clothes that we have received. Trying to figure out how to coherently organize boxes full of clothes ranging from newborn to 18 months has been a headache. I suppose it is better than having no clothes at all. A big fear is what if they got the sex wrong? We have way too much pink for a little boy.
