I am finally getting around to my quarterly update! Life just never gets any slower.
We went to San Diego for our vacation this summer so that Derek could go to the San Diego Temple before his mission. He got his call just before we went to the California San Jose mission. While in the area we had the chance to go to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo.
Sea World was by far our most favorite place. We got to see all the shows and nearly all of the exhibits all in the one day. Brooklyn loved all the animals, but was exhausted by the end of the day.
The San Diego zoo was nice, but too spread out for dragging the whole family around. We did have a chance to see the panda bear exhibit with the new baby panda. Other than that they didn’t have much more than our home zoo.
The temple was of course amazing as well. We were a little disappointed that they have been doing construction so there was scaffolding all round the outside and all the stained glass was covered from the inside. It was still a great experience to have most of the family there able to enjoy the spirit there.

so glad y'all updated!!! we loved living in san diego. i agree, though, the zoo wasn't that spectacular. how many different breeds of elk & deer do you need to see, really, right?!?

It's about time you added some more pics to your blog so I'm not visiting in vain (ha! ha!) and since I still can't figure out how to get my pics off the camera. Great times & wonderful memories--really loved San Diego!! Thanks for the update :)
